What is Thermotherapy?
Thermotherapy is a technique used for aesthetic and medicinal purposes that uses heat or cold to treat certain ailments.
The procedure can be divided into superficial and deep.
Superficial thermotherapy is the heating or cooling of the surface of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. In this case, it is used for analgesic effect, for example.
Deep thermotherapy reaches denser layers such as muscles and tendons, through ultrasound, for example. It is mainly used for tissue healing and obtaining deeper relaxation.
