IPL

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL is a light source of high intensity, broad spectrum and constant force. It has a wavelength spectrum that ranges from 420nm to 1200nm. Endorsed with these special characteristics, IPL is intended for an extensive application in the context of non-invasive treatments based on the theory of selective absorption by human skin of light sources (photothermolysis processes). Similarly, the IPL treatment allows the client a rapid recovery from conventional treatments and without the need for immobilization.

Indications:
  • Acne Treatment;
  • Reduction of Vascular Lesions;
  • Reduction of Pigmented Lesions;
  • Skin Rejuvenation;
  • Permanent Hair Removal;
The principle of operation of the IPL Equipment is based on Selective Thermolysis, a process in everything similar to that of lasers. As the name implies, intense pulsed light (IPL) translates by a concentrated application of light on the areas to be treated, light produced by a Xenon lamp and with a spectrum ranging from 400nm to 1200nm.
By the action of various filters, the light spectrum / wavelength can be modified obtaining different results:
  • 430mn-1200mn, remove deep stains
  • 480mn-1200mn decrease pores
  • 530mn-1200mn acne, soft skin
  • 560mn-1200mn rejuvenation
  • 590mn-1200mn remove red blood
  • 640mn-1200mn hair removal
  • 690mn-1200mn take off dark hair
  • 750mn-1200mn brown hair, etc.
Contra Indications:
  • Inflammatory dermatosis
  • Skin infections
  • Immune system deficiencies
  • Clinical history of Keloides formations
  • Pregnancy
  • Skin cancer
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Photodermatosis
  • Herpes Simplex
  • Drug use (increases photosensitivity)
  • Simultaneous treatment of cellulitis (should intersperse a few weeks between treatments)
